About
When Jim and I first met it was agreed upon very quickly that we liked to sleep in on weekends and go out for breakfast once we woke up. There were a few requirements and all of our favorite places over the years have met them. The first requirement is that the dining location needs to be near the water. They need to serve breakfast late, sometimes until 2:00PM. The third and sometimes the first is they should have a bar to serve a Bloody Mary or Mimosa. We were married in one of our all time favorites, the Red Sails Inn on Shelter Island in San Diego. It was an early morning wedding (9:00AM) so we could serve our guests breakfast, Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas. Sweet!
That was some time ago and we have really had some great fun. For those of you just getting to know us, we had a sailing adventure through the South Pacific on our 40 foot yacht named Toucan. You can check that out by clicking the TeamToucan.com home page link on this website. It was in the South Pacific that we had discovered a new way to share with the ones we love. Sunday Services was a concept introduced to us by our friends Ann and Dave on a yacht named Ferric Star. All boats in the anchorage would pull together some kind of edible contribution and whatever else they could muster up to spend a lovely day in the cockpit of a host yacht. The idea was to hang out and tell stories and just be together in a great far away location. When we were on Ferric Star the beverage was a Bloody Bull which they had perfected. When services were on Toucan it was a TeamToucan Bloody Mary. These services could last a few hours and in some cases went into the late hours of the evening. It was all good fun!
We hope to bring this product to market, making services available any day. I have a lot to learn and a lot of work to do. It won’t be easy and that is probably why we haven’t done it yet. If you have had a bottle of mix it was hand made with love. That is something we intend to put in every bottle. All you need to add is a few friends, a few stories, and maybe some bacon and eggs.
